"An essential presence"

The British Ambassador to the Holy See, His Excellency Nigel Baker (photo, right) generously hosted a dinner for friends and colleagues of the Anglican Centre recently, and then blogged about the role of the Centre in Rome as an “essential” presence. These very kind and supportive words meant a great deal to us here, and bear witness to the very healthy relationship that exists between the Centre and the Embassy, as has been the case for many decades now.

In Rome we are here as a unique mission and depend on the goodwill of friends and neighbours to thrive and grow. We are blessed with much support and appreciate the special relationship we have with the British Embassy to the Holy See. HE Nigel Baker has been particularly attentive to the Centre’s needs and a great advocate, as an Anglican layman, of our work. His blog has been very good for us.
