Visiting Rome – How we can help

St Peters

The Centre is able to offer some practical help and information on visiting Rome whether you are coming privately or as a group.

Do contact us.

If you are on a private visit to Rome, we can:

  • Send you a list of places to stay
  • Show you around the Anglican Centre
  • Welcome you to our weekly Tuesday Eucharist, followed by lunch (except in August)
  • Help you make contact with various Vatican offices and with other Roman Catholic groups and organisations
  • Act as a point of support and study during sabbaticals and study leave
  • Help find you support in a crisis with pastoral care, use of Italian, contacts

If you are coming to Rome with a parish group or pilgrimage, we can:

  • Make suggestions about places to stay, coach companies, restaurants
  • Help you put together a program of visits
  • Share in your worship
  • Help find you support in a crisis with pastoral care, use of Italian, contacts

We do not usually:

  • Book places for you with hotels, restaurants, etc;
  • Directly contact suppliers or services;
  • Pick up or deliver things to your hotel.

 A reputable travel agent in your own country will best be able to book hotels at good prices for groups. Among our sponsors is Pax Travel.

 If you can, phone ahead. Most of our staff are fluent in Italian and English.
 Tel:   +39 06 678 0302 . Please note that the Centre is normally closed during August.
