I have just received my copy of the Malines Conversations Group II book, based on our discussions at Canterbury and London from March 30 to April 3, 2014. This group attempts to revive the spirit of those first organised conversations between Roman Catholics and Anglicans, as hosted by Cardinal Mercier and Lord Halifax in the early part of the twentieth century. We explore the possibilities, informally, of our common life and the challenges we face as we seek a new form of unity together.
I was asked to provide a synopsis of the changing face of Anglicanism: The Anglican Communion and its future. A daunting task for anyone! Here is my brief offering, with some comments about ecumenism with Roman Catholicism.
