Deputy Director

The Governors are pleased to announce the appointment of The Revd Dr Justin Lewis-Anthony as the Deputy Director of the Anglican Centre in Rome with effect from 15 January 2018. 

Justin Lewis-Anthony has previously been Precentor and Cathedral Chaplain at Christ Church Cathedral, Oxford for five years, Rector of St Stephen’s Church, Hackington in the diocese of Canterbury for ten years, Associate Dean of Students and Director of Anglican Studies at Virginia Theological Seminary in the USA for three years and an Associate Fellow at the Oxford Centre of Ecclesiastical and Practical Theology.  His publications include Circles of Thorns: Hieronymus Bosch and Being Human and If You Meet George Herbert on the Road, Kill Him! – radically rethinking priestly ministry.

Bishop Stephen Platten, chair of the Governors of the ACR, said: “I am delighted that Justin Lewis-Anthony is joining the team at the Anglican Centre.  He brings a wealth of experience which will be invaluable.”
