Archbishop Mullally’s pilgrimage continues with local church visits

Archbishop Sarah Mullally today joined in worship with Rome’s Anglican congregations on the second day of her pilgrimage to the city.  The Archbishop led a Sung Eucharist service, which included Baptisms, at All Saints’ Church – the Church of England’s chaplaincy which has worshipped on Via del Babuino since 1887.

Her pilgrimage continued this afternoon when she was welcomed to the Archbasilica of St John Lateran by Bishop Guerino di Tora, Vicar of Archpriest Cardinal Baldassare Reina, and to the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore by Monsignor Éamonn McLaughlin, representing Archpriest Cardinal Rolandas Makrickas.

This evening, the Archbishop was the guest at Choral Evensong in St Paul’s Within the Walls, on Via Nazionale, which forms part of the Convocation of Episcopal Churches in Europe.  St Paul’s was built in 1873 and was the first non-Roman Catholic church to be built within the city walls.
